Home Induction
This service is for clients who, for whatever reason, are faced with a hospital induction. The idea is that by preparing the body for induction and starting the process at home over the course of a few days, we’re giving it a head start, and the hospital induction experience is quicker and more simple than it otherwise would have been. Some clients have arrived at their induction already a little bit dilated, and some already having labor surges, skipping some of the initial steps altogether.
What’s included:
Collaboratively create a comprehensive plan for encouraging labor when anticipating induction
Gentle labor induction at home before transitioning to the hospital
Home membrane sweeps
Home cervical assessments
Home monitoring of parent and baby
Early labor evaluation to determine when to go to the hospital
